UV printing process
UV printing process
UV printing is a printing process that dries and solidifies ink by ultraviolet light. The surface of printed matter has the advantages of scratch resistance, abrasion resistance, acid and alkali resistance, good ink adhesion and the like, which are better than the functions that cannot be achieved by traditional printing. In addition to the traditional coated paper printing, UV is also suitable for printing of special materials: synthetic paper, stone environment-friendly paper, non-woven fabrics, films, etc. Our company's multiple Manolo six, seven, eight and nine color printing equipment can realize online UV printing, through which UV printing with various special effects on the packaging surface can be easily completed.
UV inks can be considered environmentally friendly because they do not cause volatile organic component (VOC) solvent volatilization. For example, in the United States, the fractions of some traditional sheet-fed inks are classified as volatile organic component (VOC) and are controlled by law and within limits-in these areas, UV is usually classified as "best available process". In the European Union, the ink fractions used for sheet-fed printing are not included in the list of hazards of volatile organic compounds. Our company uses the world's first-class supplier resources and is currently environmentally friendly in UV ink procurement. The various materials used meet the international VOC emission standards in the industry.
UV varnish:
The rapid rise of UV varnish and its tendency to replace plastic film coating and solvent-based varnish in many products mainly depend on its own characteristics as follows:
1) UV varnish contains almost no solvent, and the emission of organic volatiles is very small, thus reducing air pollution, improving the working environment and reducing the risk of fire.
2) UV varnish contains no solvent and does not need heat energy during curing. UV varnish has strong affinity for ink and firm adhesion.
(3) The printed matter treated by UV polishing process is obviously brighter and brighter in color than other processing methods, and the cured coating is wear-resistant, more resistant to drug and chemicals, has good stability, and can be scrubbed with water and ethanol;

(4) the defects frequently occurring in the plastic film covering process, such as the phenomena of cocking, foaming, wrinkling, delamination and the like can be avoided, UV glazing products do not adhere, and after curing, the UV glazing products can be stacked and placed in favor of post-process processing operations such as opening binding and the like;
5) can be recycled. The invention solves the problem of environmental pollution caused by the fact that the coated paper base cannot be recycled.
UV glazing applications:
UV glazing can not only increase the surface smoothness of printed matter and make the printed product show a stronger luster, but also can protect printed pictures and texts. Therefore, UV glazing is widely used in surface finishing of printed matter such as packaging decoration, book covers, picture books, trademarks, advertisements, calendars, large decorations, posters, etc. UV glazing technology has become an important means to realize and improve the grade of printed matter.

Reverse UV glazing:
Reverse UV glazing is relative to traditional UV local glazing. In the past, no matter what kind of glazing method (flexographic printing, screen printing or gravure printing) was used for local glazing, the final glazing process must adopt local glazing printing to achieve the Gao Fancha effect of local images and texts. However, this process is prone to overprint precision error between glazing area and printing area, resulting in double images and texts. The reverse glazing process breaks through the above-mentioned laws and solves the registration problem. Its technological process is as follows.
Regular printing must be completed before glazing and the ink must be completely dried or cured. Then, transparent reverse ink is printed on the non-high light parts of the design manuscript in an offset printing mode in an online or offline mode; Connect the wires again, and coat the printing surface with UV gloss oil in full plate mode and cure. At this time, the contact area between UV gloss oil and reverse ink produces cohesive reaction to form frosted ink film, while the other area forms mirror surface. The following figure is a process box made by our company using reverse UV glazing technology. The surface of the box can reflect both high-gloss and matte effects. Because matte parts are offset printing with accurate overprinting, the accuracy of graphics and text in high-gloss parts is ensured.
Reverse UV glazing applications:
Widely used in cosmetic packaging, gift packaging, high-grade tobacco and alcohol packaging, drug packaging and hardcover books. This new process perfectly combines artistic effect with UV varnish process, making the surface of printed matter have both frosted and mirror texture texture, and at the same time making printed matter have some anti-counterfeiting function.
